Your skin doesn't follow one standard routine.

Prevention, dark spots, adult acne or rosacea each call for different active ingredients – and sometimes opposite routines. Answer two questions and get a first, evidence-based orientation for your morning and evening skincare.

Key Active Ingredients

Important NoteThis calculator provides a first, orientational assessment based on common dermatological consensus papers. It does not replace a skin analysis or a medical diagnosis. Actives marked "(Rx)" are prescription-only and require a medical consultation.

From Plan to Personal Skincare

A skincare plan only becomes truly individual once a skin analysis and a personal conversation are added. I discuss with you which actives genuinely make sense for your skin – and in which order.

Book a Skin Consultation

What patients frequently ask.

Why do different skin concerns need different active ingredients?

Acne, melasma, rosacea and photoaging each have different underlying mechanisms – sebum production, inflammation, pigment formation and collagen breakdown run through different pathways. An active that helps with acne (e.g. salicylic acid) can further irritate the skin barrier in rosacea. The selection is therefore always based on the leading concern, not on a generic "anti-aging" scheme.

What does "(Rx)" mean for an active ingredient?

"Rx" marks prescription-only actives such as tretinoin, adapalene, hydroquinone or topical metronidazole. These may only be prescribed after a medical examination. The calculator lists them as orientation for what may come up in a consultation – not as a purchase recommendation.

Why does the recommendation change during pregnancy?

Retinoids (tretinoin, adapalene, retinol), hydroquinone and high-dose salicylic acid are considered insufficiently studied or potentially risky during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Safety mode replaces these actives with established alternatives such as azelaic acid, pure hyaluronic acid and low-dose vitamin C.

Does this calculator replace a skin analysis?

No. The calculator provides a first orientation based on two data points. A skin analysis additionally considers skin condition, prior treatments, intolerances and underlying conditions – the personal consultation at the practice remains the basis for any actual recommendation.
