    With high-resolution probes, we assess the organs of the abdominal cavity (abdominal sonography) such as the liver, gallbladder, or kidneys. Equally important is the examination of the thyroid gland – often the hidden key to unexplained hair loss, fatigue, or weight problems.

    Anatomy is individual. To avoid serious complications from fillers, we scan the tissue (vascular mapping) in risk zones before the injection. Another focus: If you find foreign fillers (hyaluronic acid) bothersome or lumpy, we can precisely locate and safely dissolve them through ultrasound-guided Hylase injections with millimeter precision, without damaging surrounding tissue.

Frequently Asked Questions about Ultrasound Diagnostics

+ Do I need to fast for an abdominal ultrasound?
For an optimal assessment of the abdominal organs (especially the gallbladder and pancreas), it is best to fast for about 4 to 6 hours before the examination. If possible, also avoid carbonated drinks, as air in the abdomen can hinder ultrasound visibility.
+ What exactly is ultrasound-guided Hylase treatment?
Hylase is an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid. If too much or asymmetrically placed filler was injected during a previous treatment (e.g., at another institute), we can precisely visualize the old hyaluronic acid depots on the ultrasound image. This allows us to inject the Hylase precisely into the filler knot only, sparing your natural tissue.
+ Does my private health insurance cover the costs?
Medically indicated ultrasound examinations (e.g., for abdominal pain, thyroid checks, or joint discomfort) are billed according to GOÄ and are generally fully covered by private health insurance. Aesthetic corrections (such as Hylase treatment) are self-pay services.
