Deep dive: the symbiosis of needling and PRP

Why don’t we just inject the PRP, but instead usually combine it with medical microneedling? Because both procedures massively potentiate each other:

• The door opener (needling): The finest, physician-guided needles create microscopic injuries deep in the skin. The skin is forced to produce collagen in order to “repair” them (collagenogenesis).
• The fuel (PRP): While the channels created by the needling are still open, we massage and inject the obtained plasma into the skin. The growth factors it contains accelerate wound healing tremendously and multiply the production of elastin and collagen.
• The “bloody face” myth: Forget the shock images of celebrities on Instagram. Pure, centrifuged plasma is not blood-red, but clear and golden yellow. After the treatment, your skin will appear at most slightly reddened, not bloody.
