Creams cannot repair this kind of structural damage. Ironing out the skin’s structure from within

The skin on the décolleté is extremely thin and has hardly any protective subcutaneous fat tissue. As a result, it quickly loses its firmness (elastosis). My concept of Harmony of Aesthetics does not focus on simply “pumping up” these deep wrinkles with large amounts of hyaluronic acid. Instead, we strengthen and densify the tissue at its root cause.

For patients from the Erlangen, Fürth and Nuremberg area, HIFU treatment is the most elegant, non-invasive method to soften unsightly “side-sleeper creases” and perfect the skin texture for summer outfits or low-cut dresses.

Deep dive: How HIFU works on the décolleté

Unlike in the face (where we go down to the muscle layer), on the décolleté we work with special ultrasound handpieces that deliver their focused energy (approx. 65°C) precisely into the mid and deep dermis (depths: 1.5 mm and 3.0 mm):

  • The immediate tightening effect: Due to the extremely short heat impulses, the old, lax collagen fibers in the skin contract immediately (shrinking effect). The tissue appears slightly plumper right after the treatment.
  • Massive neocollagenesis (long term): The body registers these micro-injuries and initiates an intensive healing process. So-called fibroblasts are activated and massively produce new collagen and elastin. Over the following months, the skin becomes measurably thicker, firmer and more elastic.
  • Smoothing the texture: This “plumping effect” from within is extremely effective against fine crêpey skin and deep vertical folds.

Anesthesia expertise meets combination therapy

High-intensity ultrasound in the bony breastbone area (sternum) can be uncomfortable at full energy. To maximize the effectiveness of the treatment, I prepare the area, as a specialist in anesthesiology, with highly effective, prescription-only anesthetic techniques so that you perceive the impulses only as a warm tingling sensation.

My professional insider tip: For extremely sun-damaged, thin skin (“parchment skin”), the combination of HIFU (for thermal tightening) and a complementary injection with hyper-diluted Radiesse (collagen booster) is the absolute gold standard in modern aesthetic medicine.

Frequently asked questions about HIFU décolleté treatment

+ When will I see the final result?
You will often notice a slight firming immediately due to the heat effect (shrinking). However, since the skin needs time to build fresh collagen, the final, smoothed result unfolds gradually over a period of 3 to 6 months.
+ Will I have any downtime after the treatment?
No, there is no classic downtime. As the uppermost layer of skin remains completely intact, no wounds are created. The décolleté may be red after the treatment and feel slightly tender to pressure for a few days (similar to a strong sunburn). However, you can immediately resume your usual activities.
+ Is the result permanent?
The newly formed collagen produced by biostimulation is yours and firms the tissue in the long term (usually 1 to 2 years). However, the natural aging process and any new sun damage continue. We therefore recommend a touch-up as needed, often once a year.
