Cheek augmentation
Practice of Dr. Thomas Ackermann
Cheek augmentation (hyaluronic acid).
Structure instead of volume excess.
A face ages in layers: the supporting bone structure recedes and the fatty tissue of the cheeks sags downwards. Simply injecting hyaluronic acid “blindly” leads to the dreaded, bloated “pillow face”. In my specialist practice we work on the underlying causes: we subtly restore the original architecture and the youthful V-shape of your face.
The result: fresh, defined, and absolutely natural.
Transparent medical treatment according to GOÄ from €350.
Medical premium standard:
- Triangle of beauty: Targeted enhancement of the cheekbone contour
- Atraumatic: Tissue-sparing work with blunt cannulas
- Specialist safety: Precise knowledge of vascular anatomy
Description
The Architecture of the Face: The Invisible Lifting Effect
The cheek is the most important foundation of the human face. When this tissue descends, deep nasolabial or marionette lines form in the lower third of the face. My Harmony of Aesthetics approach starts precisely here: through targeted repositioning at the cheekbone, we rebuild this foundation. As a result, the entire face is gently lifted visually (lifting effect).
Patients from Erlangen, Fürth, and Nuremberg appreciate this medical signature. No one should see that you have been treated – those around you will only notice how incredibly refreshed you look.
Deep Dive: The Science of Hyaluronic Acid
In our practice we use exclusively highly cross-linked premium hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body, but in aesthetic medicine the structure of the gel is crucial.
- Rheology (G-prime): For building the cheeks and cheekbones we need material that imitates the bony structure. Here we use very firm gels (high G-prime) that optimally lift the tissue and do not shift.
- Tissue integration: Modern top-tier fillers integrate seamlessly into the subcutaneous tissue. You won’t feel a hard foreign body, just a firm, youthful contour.
- Hydration & glow: In addition to the shaping volumizing effect, hyaluronic acid improves the skin’s elasticity and moisture supply from within over the long term.
Avoiding Complications: The Medical Standard
Safety is non-negotiable. The midface is criss-crossed with important vessels and nerves (e.g. infraorbital nerve). As a specialist, I know this anatomy precisely. I prefer to work with atraumatic blunt cannulas. These glide gently through the tissue instead of cutting it – this enormously reduces the risk of bruising and swelling. For a high level of safety, the enzyme hyaluronidase (“hyaluronic eraser”) is also always at hand in our practice.
