Smooth bunny lines (Botulinumtoxin Typ A).
Smile without nose wrinkles.

Fine lines on the bridge of the nose that appear when laughing or squinting (bunny lines) can often make the face look older than it is. With targeted, minimal muscle relaxation, we smooth this area. As a specialist, I guarantee the highest precision: your smile remains absolutely natural and unchanged.

The result: smooth and harmonious.

Description

Medical precision instead of an asymmetric smile

Successful treatment of the nasal area requires in-depth anatomical knowledge. In my private practice in Herzogenaurach, I follow a purely medical approach. We don’t just inject “at random” into the nose; instead, we precisely analyze the muscular activity that is causing your fine lines.

Patients from Erlangen and Nuremberg appreciate that we work with extremely fine dosages when treating bunny lines. The goal is a smooth nasal area when you laugh, without the rest of your facial expressions appearing “frozen.”

Deep dive: How botulinum works on the nose

The so‑called “bunny lines” (nasal wrinkles) are caused by the contraction of the nasal muscle (musculus nasalis). When this muscle contracts—often unconsciously when laughing, in the sun, or under strong concentration—fine, diagonal lines form on the sides of the bridge of the nose. We use a highly purified protein to gently reduce this muscular activity.

  • Smoothing: The muscle relaxes and the thin skin above it becomes smoother.
  • Prevention: The skin is protected so that fine laughter lines do not develop into permanently visible, deep creases.
  • Perfect complement: Very often, bunny lines only become clearly visible after treating the frown line (as a compensatory movement). Treating them at the same time is often advisable.

The “safety first” standard with a specialist

The lateral nasal region is anatomically very demanding. Just a few millimeters away runs the muscle that lifts the upper lip. As a specialist in anesthesiology, I know these structures in detail. With precise, very superficial injections we ensure that only the nasal muscle is treated and that your upper lip does not droop when you laugh. We also use ultra-fine special needles (Nanosoft), making the treatment virtually painless.

Frequently asked questions about bunny lines

+ Will the treatment change my smile or my lips?
No. Thanks to our specialist precision technique, we target only the musculus nasalis. The muscles responsible for lifting the upper lip or the corners of the mouth remain completely unaffected. Your smile stays 100% natural.
+ Should I combine bunny lines treatment with the frown line?
We very often recommend this. When the frown line is relaxed, the body will frequently and unconsciously shift facial expressions to the adjacent nasal muscles (compensatory activity). If the bunny lines are treated at the same time, we achieve a completely harmonious, smooth result across the entire upper third of the face.
+ When will I see the result and how long does it last?
The muscle-relaxing effect on the nose gently sets in after about 2 to 4 days. The final, smooth result is reached after around 14 days. The effect usually lasts between 3 and 6 months.
